Everyone is born with phenomenal mental and spiritual power within oneself. Right from the time when we are born the extra ordinary power manifest. Education gives us the power to control and guide us in the right direction. It is not just a bundle of books or curriculum but also interaction with the world around us.
My dear students, these are your most precious years of learning and growing up. You need to be creative, open minded and god fearing enough to understand human values, needs and respect of self as well as others. It is imperative that you learn the difference between inputs and outcomes i.e., your actions and their consequences.
The teaching profession within itself is very complex. The complexity extends from preparing material to guide and encourage children and adult students. The young mind develops by experiencing one’s day-to-day meeting with peer group, elders and through many other media.
We, teachers, have a great challenge to meet all these changing attitudes and aspirations of youngsters. With involvement of parents, teachers and students, we could have a healthy group of students with positive thinking which will help them to be an understanding adult in future.
I would sum up with a quote by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore:
“I slept and dreamt that life was joy,
I awoke and saw that life was service,
I acted and behold, service was joy.”
